Tip 1 – Any
Word Anywhere means it finds any of the words you are searching anywhere
they appear in the bibliographic record. Use + to make sure the word appears; use ? to
truncate (teach? will find teacher, teachers, teaching); use
“
“
to search for a phrase, such as “Wall Street.”
Tip 2 – If you know the exact title or author’s
name, search by “Start of Title” or “Browse Author.”
Tip 3 – Open the Quick Limit box to limit your search to Videos or last 5 years or
music scores, etc.
Tip 4 – Use the Guided Keyword Search if you want more search options; for a word
or phrase in the subject field and a word in the author field, for example.
Tip 5 – Change the Sort by option to see most recent books first.
Tip 6 – We
don’t own the book? Search other libraries (ILCSO Libraries) to find
material. Click on Request at top of
screen. Choose
