Finding Information in the Library :

You can find lots of good current and historical information in our library by using the catalog. A search of "United States" as a phrase and "statistics" as a subject word turns up several hundred resources in our library.

For more information about searching the library catalog, look at our guide.

You can also search databases from our library pages for different statistics. Find a database in the subject area you are researching, and once again, try searching by a word that you are interested in (such as "education level") and "statistics."

Finally, newspapers such as those carried on Lexis-Nexis and separately, the Chicago Tribune, will often give different statistics in articles. Search these databases by the topic that interests you in order to get more information.
