North Park's Campus Design Featured in Landscape Architecture

Benches on North Park's campus

CHICAGO, IL (April 26, 2007) – The April issue ofLandscape Architecture, the magazine of the American Society of Landscape Architects, features an article on Douglas Hoerr Landscape Architecture titled "The Firm that Plants Built."

North Parkers who attended the dedication of the University’s central greenspace in 2004 will remember that the project was designed by Douglass Hoerr, who spoke at the ceremony. According to the article, which features several photos of North Park's campus, "Hoerr brought seasonality and a sense of place to a 100-year-old campus."

Hoerr's greenspace development is one of a series of transformational projects North Park has undertaken in the last six years. Click here for more information about this project and other recent campus improvements.
