Superintendent Jerome Nelson to Speak at King Day Chapel
CHICAGO (January 11, 2007) – North Park University will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on Monday, January 15, 2007, with a special chapel service at 10:30 a.m. Jerome Nelson, Central Conference Superintendent for the Evangelical Covenant Church
, will address the campus community, discussing one of North Park’s core values, the “affirmation of racial and ethnic diversity as reflective of the vision of the Kingdom of God.” This service is also an installation of this year’s University Convocation series, exploring North Park’s identity. There will be no classes held on Monday, January 15, also in honor of Dr. King.
