CHICAGO, IL (August 20, 2007) - North Park University is pleased to present the 27th Season of Chamber Music at North Park. The tradition of presenting some of the world's most celebrated musicians continues as we welcome four stellar performers to Anderson Chapel.

Friday, September 21, 2007, 7:30 p.m.: Elizabeth Buccheri and Friends Quartet
It is always a pleasure to have CMNP founder Elizabeth Buccheri, piano, grace our stage. This time she is joined by colleagues and Vermeer Quartet members Mathias Tacke, violin, Marc Johnson, cello, and former principal clarinetist and featured soloist with the New Orleans Symphony, Steven Cohen. This evening's performance is sure to be a crowd pleaser! Stravinsky's L'histoire du soldat and Trio for Clarinet, Violin, and Piano are featured on this program as well as Hindemith's Quartet for Clarinet, Violin, Cello, and Piano, and Leonard Bernstein's Sonata for Clarinet and Piano, among others.

Wednesday, October 17, 2007, 7:30 p.m.: Juan Chuquisengo, piano
Critically acclaimed SONY recording artist, Peruvian-born pianist Juan Chuquisengo is hailed by BBC Music Direct as an enormously accomplished and unusually sensitive player, masterly revealing an extraordinary range of color and expression. Join us for this characteristically insightful and original program.

Mr. Chuiquisengo will also lead the following events, which are open to the public:

Piano Master Class: Thursday, October 18, 2007, 3:30 p.m.

Friday, February 22, 2008, 7:30 p.m.: Fine Arts Quartet
The Fine Arts Quartet is one of the most distinguished ensembles in chamber music today, with an illustrious history of performing success and an extensive recording legacy. The quartet's members are artists-in-residence at the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, are among the elite few to have recorded and toured internationally for over half a century, and have helped form and nurture many of today's top international young ensembles. String quartets of Haydn, Shostakovich, and Tchaikovsky are featured on this program.

The Fine Arts Quartet will also lead the following event, which is open to the public:

Saturday, March 1, 2008, 7:30 p.m.: Chicago a cappella
A true treasure, Chicago a cappella bring us an Evening of Romanticism and Rock 'n' Roll as the internationally acclaimed vocal ensemble brings forth songs of Brahms, Schubert, Schumann and the English romantics, as well as rock 'n' roll hits from the '50s and '60s. This evening's performance also features a newly commissioned work for Chicago a cappella by North Park University's own Rollo Dilworth.

Chicago a cappella will also lead the following event:
