The School of Music at North Park University proudly presents La Bella Dormente nel Bosco "The Sleeping Beauty" by Ottorino Respighi on a double bill alongside Signore Deluso by Thomas Pasatieri.

Opera Synopses

La Bella Dormente nel Bosco
Penned by Italian composer Ottorino Respighi, the "Sleeping Beauty" story spans 300 years and takes us from a 1620s castle to the surrounding woods in the 1920s, with a Cake-Walk and a modern day prince. (sung in Italian with supertitles)

Signor Deluso

Signore Deluso by Thomas Pasatieri, based on Moliere's 1660's comedy "The Imaginary Cuckold"; has been performed over 8,000 times since its composition in 1974. (sung in English)
