Big or small? Rural or urban? Christian or secular?
How do I get scholarships? Should savings be invested
in the name of the student or parent?
Choosing a college is one of the more important decisions a person makes, and a lot of issues come into play. The
choice will affect the type of person a student will become, shape their values and character, potentially create
a network of lifelong friends, be the place where a husband or wife is found, and launch a student into the world
of work, career, and graduate school.
The College Seminar is a seminar designed to help students and their parents ask good questions, plan effectively, and
evaluate various alternatives. The goal is a good decision-making process and the likelihood of an outcome that is in the
best interests of the student.
While the workshop presenter uses examples from their work and experience at North Park, this seminar is a service
North Park provides to churches. North Park believes that helping students and their parents make the right choice
for that student is in everyone’s best interest.
