Vision Statement
The vision of North Park Theological Seminary is to provide graduate theological education of the highest quality, reflective of the distinctive values and culture of the Evangelical Covenant Church, for the development of leadership in the local church and wider Christian ministries.

Mission Statement
The mission of North Park Theological Seminary is to prepare students academically, practically, and spiritually to serve the Evangelical Covenant Church and other Christian bodies and to minister to both Church and world through scholarship, teaching, service, and community life.

Identity and Values Statement
The Seminary is a place of discernment and direction for those seeking vocational clarity and confirmation; a place where the love of learning and the desire for God are treated with equal integrity; a place where the practice of ministry is honored in its theological character, practical effectiveness, and ethical imperatives.

North Park Theological Seminary is the seminary of the Evangelical Covenant Church, whose identity is derived from the Holy Scriptures and the classical formulations of the Apostolic and Nicene Creeds. The unique identity of the Church and Seminary springs from the Protestant Reformation, classical Lutheran Pietism, and other evangelical movements.

At the same time, the mission of the Seminary is to serve the Church, both globally and locally. We intend our community life to be hospitable to the racial, ethnic, and gender diversity of God's creation. Our educational philosophy seeks to relate the great commission (the evangelical mandate), the great commandment (the ethical mandate), and care for creation (the cultural mandate) critically and creatively to the University campus, ecclesial communities, and the marketplaces of life. Our commitment embraces both personal and public discipleship. We affirm the priestly, prophetic, and leadership aspects of ministry. Our devotion to the spiritual formation of our students aims to cultivate their personal holiness, apostolic identity, intellectual integrity, evangelical witness, and ethical commitment.

Our mission continues the mission of the Triune God through creative, redemptive, and sanctifying service to the glory of God and our neighbors' good.

Administration
North Park Theological Seminary, as a part of North Park University, is governed by the University's Board of Trustees and the University President. The president and dean of the Seminary reports to the University president. A Seminary Board of Visitors, made up of supporters of theological education and the Seminary, encourages and advises North Park in the fulfillment of its mission.

Accreditation
North Park Theological Seminary is accredited by the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada and by the North Central Association of Schools and Secondary Schools.
