Welcome to the Field Education Department of North Park Theological Seminary.
We hold the sacred privilege of linking motivated students with those who are interested in partnering with us in the development of the next generation of pastoral leaders.
It is our joy to have conversations of spiritual discernment within which students can sort out their vocational aspirations and try to connect them with mentoring pastors, nurturing congregations and mission entities. These colleagues and faith communities can help students get to the next step of discovering their gifts and sharpening their call and to gain practical experience with supervised guidance. We believe that good field education will integrate classroom learning with practical experience through good processes of reflection and evaluation. We are convinced that this is crucially important in the development of pastoral identity. Whether you are a prospective student or a ministry leader exploring our program, it is our pleasure to seek out with you the possibility of building God’s church together.
