Please Note that the due date is July 15 for fall admission.
All application materials are due by December 15
for spring admission and by July 15 for fall admission. If you are applying for a scholarship, please note that deadlines for scholarship applications are earlier than our regular application deadlines. All seminary and scholarship application materials to qualify for scholarships are due by their respective deadlines. Please apply early!
Kern Scholarship deadline: March 1
Presidential and Diversity Scholarships deadline: April 15 for fall, and October 1 for Spring.
How do I apply?
1. Complete the application form and two essays (see application for details).
2. Order Transcripts early so that they arrive before the deadline.
3. Give recommendations to your pastor, a faculty/colleague person, your church, and two personal
contacts. They must arrive by the deadline.
4. Include the $25.00 application fee, payable by check or credit card.
*The prerequisite for entrance to graduate studies at North Park,
either on campus or through SemConnect, in any degree or non-degree
program is a bachelor's degree, or its academic equivalent, from an
accredited college or university, with a gpa of at least 2.5.

Diploma, and Visiting Student Application (35k)
A visiting student is one who enrolls at the Seminary to take classes
for continuing education, personal interest, exploration of call,
or as an interim measure while the full application is being processed. Such a student is not part of any formal degree program. Certificates
are offered in multiple areas of study for 15 credits each. A diploma of Christian study is a flexible short program of 24 credits.
*Visiting students are not eligible for financial aid.
Certificate in Spiritual Direction Application (1.61MB)
The Center for Spiritual Direction offers a 15 semester hour credit
certificate. The certificate is earned by taking three week-long summer
courses over three years in addition to two online courses during the

DUAL DEGREE INFORMATION
Students may apply for enrollment in a program that will allow them to combine a North Park Theological Seminary degree with a business degree from North Park University 's School of Business and Nonprofit Management. Students need only apply through the seminary. The assumption of this program is that credit will be allowed for six of the SBNM courses (12 hours) toward the seminary degree and credit will be allowed for two of the seminary courses (6 hours) toward the business degree. **Only students with a bachelor's degree may be admitted to the dual degree program with the graduate business school and seminary. Students applying to the business school as dual degree students must also take the GMAT if their undergraduate GPA is under 3.0.
Advanced Standing and Transfer of Credit:
Students who have earned a BTS or Youth Ministries degree from North
Park University within the past five years, with a cumulative GPA of
3.25, may be eligible for Advanced Academic Standing. Students
must apply for advanced standing before or during their first semester
of seminary as a degree-seeking student. Students wishing to
transfer credit from another institution of higher education and those
seeking advanced standing should contact Seminary Academic Services for
more information at semacademicserv@northpark.edu.
Frequently asked questions:
Do I need to have official transcripts?
Yes. Our
accrediting agency requires that we have official transcripts, sent to us
by the institution attended, in a sealed envelope.
Must I include transcripts from all colleges attended, even community colleges ?
Yes. We need all
transcripts from all institutions you have ever attended. This
includes trade schools, military, etc.
What if I don't have a church right now? Do I need to fill out the church reference?
Yes. If your situation is particularly unique, call us.
Will a letter from
my reference person (pastor, faculty, personal) suffice as my
reference, or do they need to fill out the official form?
No. It will not suffice. Please have them also fill out the official form.
Yes, you need to fill it out fully. Please do not say to "see resume" or "see transcript".
**SemConnect students and special students cannot earn the MATS, MBA, or MM degree. |
