Making Connections A Program of North Park Theological Seminary

As the only denominational seminary of the Evangelical Covenant Church, North Park Theological Seminary is a central Covenant ministry.  It actively trains most of the 1600 ministers of the denomination. Its faculty members contribute essential theology and enduring resources to those on the front line of congregational ministry.  They are called by the denomination at its annual meeting to be educators of those called into Christian ministry.

Making Connections works to strengthen the mutual and natural relationships between the seminary and youth ministry (Youth Nexus), North Park University Ministries, congregations (Professor- in- Residence and Exploring Covenant Affirmations) as well as pastors and staff ministers (Pastors- in- Residence).

The logo visualizes the interweaving of the ministry venues reinforced by seminary ministry. The relationships built will be mutual and beneficial to building up the body of Christ. These initiatives are funded by a generous grant from the Lilly Endowment, Inc.

Since you are eager for the gifts of the Spirit, try to excel in those that build up the church.

I Corinthians 14:12 NRSV

Train yourself in godliness, for, while physical training is of some value, godliness is valuable in every way, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance.  For to this end we toil and struggle, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.  These are the things you must insist on and teach.
