What's the difference?
Summer in the Park is the name we give to all of the summer programs sponsored by the Seminary. For SemConnect students there will generally be several weeks in June where one or two week intensive courses are offered. In addition there are six week sessions offered in Hebrew and Greek in July and August.
SemConnect Immersion, on the other hand, is a two-week block during the month of June within the Summer in the Park programs where there is time devoted to incorporating the seminary’s testing and evaluation program for SemConnect students. Some of the courses scheduled during this block will be one week courses and others will be two weeks in length for half a day leaving Wednesdays available for students to participate in Chicago festivals, to meet with advisors, to participate in community events, and to complete the various evaluation procedures required of all students in degree programs.
Please contact the office of academic services at semacademicserv@northpark.edu for answers to specific questions about how you will be able to fit the required SemConnect Immersion experience into your plans for completing your degree. |
