Orquesta Ebenezer

Chicago's leading Latin gospel group, Orquesta Ebenezer, will present a lively salsa performance.

This event is hosted by the Office of Diversity and Intercultural Programs.

Viking Soccer vs. Carthage College

5:00 and 7:30 pm | Holmgren Athletic Complex

Our Vikings take on Carthage College for Homecoming pride. The women's soccer team match is at 5:00 pm, followed by the men's match at 7:30 pm.

North Park Campus Tour

9:00 or 11:00 am; 2:15 pm | Meet in Old Main Lobby

Everyone has their own unique memories of their time on North Park’s campus. Relive your days as a student on a guided tour that highlights the school’s history as well as its future, including a stop in the new Johnson Center. Prospective students are warmly welcomed. Trolley tour of Chicago

Chicago Excursion: Downtown Trolley Tour

12:45 pm | Meet in Old Main Lobby

From Foster Avenue to downtown Chicago, enjoy a memorable trolley tour of landmark sights on a guided drive through the city. There will be opportunities to hop off and take photographs along the way. The tour will return to campus at 4:00 pm. Seating is limited, so be sure to register early. Cost: $20

Viking Volleyball vs. Augustana College & St. Mary's

3:00 and 7:00 pm | Helwig Recreation Center

Come cheer on the Vikings for two Homecoming matches: Augustana College at 3:00 pm and St. Mary's of Indiana at 7:00 pm.

Welcome Reception

4:00–6:00 pm | Johnson Center for Science and Community Life

Pick up your Homecoming welcome packet, visit with fellow alumni, and enjoy refreshments in the beautiful new Johnson Center to kick off the weekend's festivities.

Viking Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and Reception

5:00–7:00 pm | Johnson Center for Science and Community Life

Join Viking coaches, players, and special guests in honoring the newest inductees to the Viking Hall of Fame at this meaningful and fun celebration. An hors d’oeuvres reception will precede the induction ceremony, including presentations of each honoree. Cost: $20

University Choir

Fall Choral Concert

7:30 pm | Anderson Chapel

The North Park Chamber Singers, Women’s Chorale, and University Choir, led by Dr. Julia Davids and Dr. Tom Tropp, will present a Fall Choral Concert entitled Songs of Love and Loss. Cost: $8; $5 for faculty/staff/seniors; Free for North Park students with valid ID.


Saturday, October 25

River Run 5K

7:00 am | Holmgren Athletic Complex and River Park

Lace up your running shoes and join our annual River Run 5K run/walk event, open to North Park students, alumni, and their families. All participants will receive a T-shirt and are encouraged to dress with North Park spirit. Cost: $20


Reunion and Awards Breakfast

8:30 am | Hamming Hall

All alumni are welcome to join members of the Academy, Junior College, University, and Seminary classes of 1924, '29, '34, ’39, ’44, ’49, ’54, ’59, ’64, ’69, ’74, ’79, ’84, ’89, ’94, ’99, 2004, and '09 at the annual reunion and awards breakfast. Cost: $15


Homecoming Block Party

10:30 am–1:00 pm | Campus Gym

This annual tradition allows the entire North Park community an opportunity to celebrate Homecoming and includes games, music, food, and booths hosted by North Park clubs and academic departments. Tours of the new Johnson Center will be given from the block party at 11:00 am and 12:30 pm. Suggested donation: $5; Free for North Park students with valid ID

Viking Football vs. Millikin University

1:00 pm | Holmgren Athletic Complex

Our Vikings are taking the field against Millikin, with a special Viking Hall of Fame recognition ceremony schedule during halftime.

Cost: $5; $3 for non-North Park students; $1 for children under age 14; Free for North Park University students with valid ID

GOLD (Graduates of the Last Decade) Reunion

3:30–5:30 pm | Golden Crust Pizza, 4620 N. Kedzie Ave., Chicago

Alumni from the undergraduate classes of 2004–14 are invited to the 2014 GOLD (formerly Young Alumni) reunion. Following the afternoon football game, meet fellow GOLD alumni at Golden Crust, which is located within walking distance from Holmgren Athletic Complex.

Cost: $15 (includes all-you-can-eat pizza and salad plus one drink ticket)
