Ahmed Mahmoud Rehab will be the featured speaker at the 2012 Multicultural Awards Banquet. Ahmed is the executive director of the Chicago Office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the nation’s largest Muslim civil liberties and advocacy group. He also serves as CAIR’s national strategic communications director. Ahmed completed his undergraduate studies in psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago and graduate studies in software engineering from DePaul University. He is committed to upholding the dignity and humanity of everyone, with an intentional focus on organizing and empowering Chicago’s Muslim-American community. Ahmed is a prolific writer and lecturer on contemporary social issues including civil rights, media relations, and Islam-West relations.

Celebrating Our Students
North Park University celebrates diversity and recognizes the accomplishments of students from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Each year, the Multicultural Awards Banquet provides an opportunity to award outstanding students in various areas of academics, athletics, campus involvement, community service, spirituality, and involvement as leaders concerned about issues of diversity, advocacy and justice.
