While the Writing Center’s drop-in hours have ended for the summer, distance conferencing is available for SPS and graduate students.
Distance Conferencing is available when our drop-in center is closed over the summer. Contact your course professor or Melissa Pavlik at firstname.lastname@example.org for a list of Writing Advisors or Professional Coaches available to conference with you over the summer.
To set up a “distance” conference:
- Email at least 48 hours in advance to schedule a distance conference.
- Share your assignment via email before your conference begins.
- Initiate a phone conversation (or Skype/FaceTime/BigBlueButton session) with your advisor or coach when it is your appointment time.
NOTE: A “distance” conference = A Shared Text + A Conversation
Regular hours will resume in Week 3 of the Fall term on Monday, September 9, and run through Finals Week (December 9-12.)
Monday – Thursday:
- 10:00 am – Noon
- 1:00 to 5:00 pm
- 6:00 to 10:00 pm
Friday and Saturday
- 4:00 to 8:00 pm
Our drop-in center is located on the first floor of North Park University’s Brandel Library, Room 123, on the east side of the building. Just look for our banner! No appointment is needed; simply bring a draft with you and drop in when we are open.
