The North Park Chamber Singers, Women’s Chorale, and University Choir, led by Julia Davids and Tom Tropp, are excited to explore fresh musical perspectives! The Chamber Singers will offer a number of contemporary pieces including Songs of Joy and Refuge by Chicago composer Stacy Garrop and Tim Corlis’ fiendish take on the folksong Frère Jacques. They will also present a piece by composer Natalie Williams – the new Dean of North Park’s School of Music, Art, and Theatre. The Women’s Chorale will offer Kristina Rasmussen Collins’ arrangement of How Can I Keep from Singing? The University Choir also combines with students from North Park’s jazz program for faculty member Thomas Jefferson’s setting of How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place and his Missa Brevis.
