With an advanced degree in sports management and 20 years of experience as a coach and athletic director, Professor John Born has helped develop this new concentration to meet the demands of the job market for sports management specialists. Utilizing our urban location, Professor Born coordinates numerous guest speakers, volunteer and internship opportunities to provide students with direct experience in sports management.

Internships
To earn a business and economics degree with a concentration in sport management you’ll complete a 150-hour minimum internship. This valuable first-person experience in a professional setting will introduce you to the industry and help you build connections that may help you in your first career after college.
