BSE 2110 – Financial Accounting
A study of generally accepted accounting principles and techniques for measurement and reporting of financial information in a balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows. It includes an introduction to analysis and interpretation of financial data for decision-making purposes.
Internships
As part of your degree, you’ll complete a 150-hour minimum accounting internship. Students have interned at sites including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Covenant Trust, and the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago.

Ownby Hicks, School of Business and Nonprofit Management dean and accounting professor, helps students simplify complex financial concepts. With nearly 20 years of senior-level experience in accounting and finance across real estate and education, she brings real-world expertise into the classroom.
