Office of the Provost

Office of the Provost

The provost is the University’s chief academic officer and is responsible for all educational programs and offerings, outside of the Seminary. Dr. Craig Johnson became North Park university’s provost in January 2020.

About the Provost

Dr. Craig Johnson and the provost team work with faculty, staff, and students to support academic excellence at North Park University. Dr. Johnson previously served as Provost at North Park in 2014–15 and served as Dean of the School of Music from 2011–2019. During that time, he helped lead the renovation of Hanson Hall and oversaw the successful collaboration that brought Art and Theatre to the School of Music, resulting in SMAT as we know it today. As a faculty member for 30 years at multiple institutions, and as an administrator for more than 20 years, Dr. Johnson returns to North Park bringing deep value and expertise in all areas necessary for effectiveness in the Office of the Provost.
