Residence Halls, Apartments, and Houses
Most resident students live in residence halls their first year and second year, and then have options that include University-owned apartments and houses.
Beginning June 26, roommate assignments for all incoming students (first-year and transfer) are distributed. If you’re going to be a new student at North Park in the fall, complete and submit your housing paperwork as soon as possible in order to get your assignment as early as possible.
Threshold Move-in Day is August 19-21, 2020. Please check your North Park email for your assigned moving day and time to ensure our social distancing policy.
Returning Student Move-in Day is August 22-23, 2020. Please check your North Park email for your assigned moving day and time to ensure our social distancing policy.
If you’re a student leader, athlete, or international student, you may have a different move-in date. Make sure you know when you’re expected to be on campus.
August 28 is the last day to decrease your meal plan for the fall semester. You can increase it at any point during the semester.
September 7–11 is Room Change Week (your only option for switching rooms or roommates for the fall semester). Please see your RD about starting the process.
Time to head home for the holiday break! Students must leave campus housing by Thursday, November 26, 2020, at 10:00 am.
If you need to stay on campus for work or another reason, you may apply in the Residence Life and Housing Office to live on campus over winter break for an additional fee. Information about Winter Break housing will be announced to students in October at the latest.
Spring semester classes resume Monday, January 11, 2021. Housing re-opens Saturday, January 9, 2021, at 10:00 am. If you’ll be a new student for the spring semester, check your NPU email account to see when you’ll be able to move in.

Spring break is Saturday, March 6–Sunday, March 14, 2021. All housing will be closed and no meals served.
Campus housing closes at 10:00 am on March 6. If you need to stay at North Park for work or another reason, you may apply to live on campus over spring break for an additional $50 fee. Campus housing reopens on March 14 at 12:00 pm.
End of the year—all housing closes for the summer.
Students must leave campus housing by Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 10:00 am. Graduates and students participating in commencement may remain on campus until Sunday, May 9, 2021 at 10:00 am.
