BSE 2310 – Foundations of Finance
An introduction to finance. The study discusses basic concepts, including accounting statements, security markets, interest rates, taxes, risk analysis, time value of money, and the basics of security valuation. It includes how financial managers can help maximize their firm’s values by improving decisions in capital budgeting, choice of capital structure, and working capital management.
Internships
While earning your business degree with a concentration in finance, you’ll have the option to complete an internship in a professional setting. Students have interned at places including the VALIC Financial Advisors, BN2 Capital Holdings, American Homeowner Preservation, and COUNTRY Financial.
