BADM 3800 – Foundations of Supply Chain Management
SCM is a cross-functional discipline concerned with the movement of products, the use of business resources, the flow of information, and the deployment of services in the value chain. In this SCM introductory course, students receive a comprehensive overview of the business processes, value-creating activities, and best practices for a supply chain—including forecasting and demand management, sourcing and procurement, sales and operations planning, and through logistics (i.e., warehousing, distribution, and transportation)—out to the customer. This course is also designed to refine the intuition developed from models to develop managerial insights.
