International First-Year Students
If you have not started or completed university-level coursework and recently graduated (or will graduate) from secondary school (equivalent to US high school), follow these steps:
Complete the online application (no fee)
Click “Sign Up” to register and verify your email. Fill in all required fields, sign, and submit. For questions, email admissions@northpark.edu.

Transcript requirements
- A high school principal, administrator, teacher, or counselor must submit official transcripts. Student-submitted transcripts are not accepted.
- Students must be on track to complete secondary school (US grade 12 equivalent) within three months of starting university.
- If admitted while the final semester is in progress, a final transcript confirming the graduation date is required after graduation.

Academic recommendations
A current or former teacher must submit a letter verifying your academic abilities. Use the online application to request a recommendation by providing your recommender’s email. North Park will contact them on your behalf.
English proficiency requirement
North Park does not offer an ESL program and requires international students to provide proof of English proficiency. Accepted test scores:
- TOEFL iBT: 80 (lower scores considered based on subject scores)
- IELTS: 6.0 (lower scores considered based on subject scores)
- Duolingo: 105
- Pearson PTE: 53
- Cambridge English Assessment: B2
- Oxford ELLT: 7 (Use promo code NPU10 for a discount)
Visa sponsorship
International students need visa sponsorship to study in the U.S. To apply for an F-1 student visa, you must obtain a Form I-20. North Park can issue your Form I-20 only after admission and submission of:
- Passport ID page (scan and email to medrake@northpark.edu)
- Bank statement (showing at least six months of deposits in the sponsor’s name)
- Financial affidavit of support
SAT/ACT (optional)
SAT and ACT are optional for admission. If taken, submit scores through the testing agency.
