Health and Wellness at North Park
Students who study this concentration are well prepared for health and wellness promotion careers, such as employee wellness coordinator, health promotion specialist, outreach coordinator, and research assistant. Some students also continue to graduate or professional studies, particularly in public health, nursing, physical therapy, and as physician assistants.

HSC 3120 – Fads and Emerging Health and Wellness Therapies
Students will build health literacy skills by learning to evaluate and communicate the science behind fads and emerging new health and wellness therapies verbally and in writing for general lay audiences. Topics include nutritional supplements, diet, exercise “fads,” and various alternative and complementary health therapies.
