PHEN 4990–Engineering Capstone Project
The Engineering Capstone Project is the pinnacle of the mechanical engineering undergraduate education, bringing together technical knowledge, creativity, and teamwork to address real-world challenges. Working in teams, students progress through the complete engineering design cycle: from identifying needs and developing concepts to prototyping, testing, and refining solutions. The course emphasizes innovation, collaboration, and professional communication, culminating in a final presentation that showcases each team’s ability to transform ideas into functional, well-engineered outcomes.

Engineering Club and PHEN Lab

Students thrive in the PHEN Lab—a collaborative space for hands-on learning and mentorship. Serving as a hangout, lab, and lecture space, it’s where ideas become real-world solutions and skills are built. The Engineering Club enhances this experience with CAD certification prep, lab training, and industry field trips. Through expert-led seminars, workshops, and design competitions, students gain practical experience and valuable industry exposure.
