Dr. Amy Governale
Governale is a developmental psychologist who investigates best practices for community-based organizations, including data management and program evaluations for local anti-violence groups. She supports student research projects and is the faculty lead for the Community Assets and Program Evaluation Consortium.

PSYC 3650–Health Psychology
This course explores how psychological processes and our environment impact our physical health and well-being, and conversely, how our physical health impacts our psychological wellbeing. Specifically, how biological, psychological, and social factors interact with and affect several factors including health promotion, illness prevention, medical treatment, treatment adherence, coping with various aspects of illness, and the recovery, rehabilitation, and psychosocial adjustment of people with chronic illness or injury.

Gain hands-on experience through North Park’s partnerships with Chicago nonprofits, schools, hospitals, businesses, and social service agencies. Develop professional and research skills by working with faculty engaged in scientific and professional fields.
