Featured course

MUS-3150 Jazz/Pop Theory

Harmonic studies in jazz and pop idioms. Literature analysis, harmonization of melodies, keyboard realization, and voicing. Projects include small arrangements and original compositions.

Perform and grow

As a jazz studies student, you’ll have frequent opportunities to perform in a variety of venues on and off campus. With small class sizes and one-on-one instruction, you’ll build strong relationships with faculty who are committed to your growth. Our jazz instructors will work closely with you to help you find and prepare for performances that showcase your talent in diverse settings.
