Proxy Access for Student Accounts
Only students can designate a proxy to access limited information in their educational record, such as viewing account statements and making payments on their behalf.
Important notes
- Proxy access does not override FERPA protections.
- North Park cannot discuss student account information with proxies (including parents or family members) without written consent.
- To grant additional access, students must complete a FERPA Release Form and submit it to the Office of the Registrar.

Note: FERPA privacy protections still apply. Without a signed FERPA Release Form, you cannot discuss any information with the University.

Call Office of the Registrar at (773) 244-5560 to update your proxy’s email. Without a valid email, they won’t receive login information.
First, confirm the email address is correct in Self-Service. If it’s wrong, contact Office of the Registrar at (773) 244-5560 to update it. Your proxy’s username was also sent to your North Park email. If needed, they can reset their password using the username. If your proxy still doesn’t receive the email, check their spam folder. If it’s still not found, call Office of the Registrar for help.
No. Your brother needs to designate your mom as his proxy through Self-Service. Once granted, she can access both your and his information using the same login credentials.
If their username starts with “PX” followed by a 7-digit number, they can change their password via Self-Service. If their username includes part of their name, they can change it via the IT Account Management page.
If you haven’t completed a FERPA Release Form, no one (including your proxy) can get information about your record. Submit the form to Office of the Registrar for access.
Proxy access and the FERPA Release Form are separate. To allow access, log into Self-Service and designate your dad as your proxy. He will receive login credentials to view your information.
