Anticipated financial aid
Institutional aid and government grants
- Institutional aid is disbursed almost daily.
- State and federal grants are received at regular intervals and disbursed accordingly.
Loan disbursement requirements
Your loan funds will not be disbursed until:
- Your loan documents are received.
- You are registered at least half-time.
- Verification is complete (if required).
Until these steps are completed, your loan will be marked as “ineligible” and will not be factored into your balance due. Check your Financial Aid Checklist to see any outstanding requirements.
Percentage-based scholarships and grants
If you see “Restricted Award”, this means:
- The system enters an estimated amount.
- Your actual award is calculated based on the percentage of the award and your charges.
- Example: A student with 50% tuition coverage and a $10,000 estimated award will receive only $2,500 if their tuition is $5,000. The remaining $7,500 will not be disbursed.
