Scholarships and Aid

North Park University welcomes students from diverse financial backgrounds. We offer personalized financial aid solutions to make your education accessible, with packages based on both merit and need. Explore our range of financial aid options to find the best fit for you.

Scholarships

We reward academic excellence and exceptional talents with merit- and talent-based scholarships—funding that never needs to be repaid. When you apply, we’ll automatically consider you for these awards based on your test scores and unweighted GPA. Additional competitive and talent-based scholarships are available in areas like art, music, media, and dance. Student-athletes are eligible for all awards, though athletic scholarships are not offered at our NCAA Division III school.

Scholarship and grant amounts may vary by year, but the awards you receive will remain consistent as long as you maintain eligibility.

Work-study and other jobs:

Work-Study

College work-study is a federal, need-based employment program, determined by your FAFSA. Limited on-campus jobs are available, and students awarded work-study will be placed in a position. Payment is made bi-weekly based on hours worked and won’t appear as a credit on your bill. However, you can choose to have all or part of your paycheck applied directly to your student account to help pay your balance.

Non-Work-Study Campus Jobs: Students can apply for non-work-study jobs on campus, including office work, front desk duties, and lab assistant roles. Job postings are shared via student announcements, campus boards, and Handshake, our student employment website. As a Chicago student, you’ll also have access to a wide range of work, internship, and volunteer opportunities, thanks to our central location and proximity to public transportation.

International student aid

International students must provide financial documentation, including personal funds and family support. Since they are not eligible for U.S. federal or state aid, North Park offers international student grants, which are included in your financial aid package.

You may also qualify for talent-based scholarships  or the Virginia E. Hahn Memorial Scholarship for future history educators.

Aid covers campus living costs, but moving off campus will reduce your financial aid by $2,500 per year. For more information, contact Michael Drake, director of graduate and international admissions at medrake@northpark.edu
