Guaranteed Transfer
North Park University has guaranteed transfer agreements with both the College of Lake County and the College of DuPage. These partnerships include guaranteed admission as well as the opportunity to qualify for scholarships and financial aid.
There are two pathways to transfer to North Park: as a traditional undergraduate student in one of our five colleges and schools, or as a degree-completion student in the School of Professional Studies.
College of Lake County
Students must authorize both the College of Lake County (CLC) and North Park University to share educational records, including academic, admission, financial aid, and advising information.
To transfer, students must be in good standing at CLC. While enrolled in the Guaranteed Admission Program, students will receive advisement from both CLC and North Park to ensure proper academic progress and transfer credit.
Students can transfer into 25 traditional undergraduate programs or 5 accelerated programs through North Park’s School of Professional Studies. Scholarships are available based on academic performance at CLC.
To meet North Park’s English proficiency requirements, traditional undergraduates must have completed ENG 121 and either ENG 122 or ENG 126 with grades of C or higher.
Eligibility requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 24–30 transferable credit hours (12 for SPS students)
- Minimum 2.5 GPA (2.0 for SPS students)
Students must complete their general education and required coursework within three years and may transfer up to 60 credits for traditional programs or 90 for SPS programs.
Students in the School of Professional Studies Degree Completion program may earn the following degrees by choosing a major in:

Students in the Traditional Undergraduate program may earn the following degrees by choosing a major in:

College of DuPage
Students must be in good standing at College of DuPage (COD) at the time of transfer and follow the policies of both institutions, including those related to admission, enrollment, transfer credits, financial aid, and student conduct.
While enrolled in the Guaranteed Admission Program, students will receive advisement from both COD and North Park to track academic progress and transfer credits. Students can transfer into 24 traditional undergraduate programs or 5 accelerated programs through North Park’s School of Professional Studies (excludes Engineering, Education, and Nursing).
Scholarships are available based on academic performance at COD. To meet English proficiency, students must complete ENG 1101 and either ENG 1102 with grades of C or higher.
Eligibility requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- 24–30 transferable credit hours
- Minimum GPA of 2.5 (2.0 for SPS students)
Students must complete their general education and required coursework within three years and may transfer up to 60 credits for traditional programs or 90 credits for SPS programs. Courses below the 100-level and non-transferable courses are excluded.
