How to Apply

All international students must have satisfactorily completed, at minimum, secondary school (the equivalent of the American Grade 12) in order to enter undergraduate studies at North Park University. Get all the details.

English Language Proficiency

All international students (undergraduate and graduate) must demonstrate proficiency in the English language in order to study at North Park. Review our English language proficiency requirement. If you have questions, please contact your admissions representative.

Employment as a Student

International and exchange students may be able to work on campus while attending North Park, or may qualify for off-campus employment under specific circumstances. Read more about these options, including Curricular Practical Training (CPT) policies and procedures.

Undergraduate Studies

International students are welcome to attend North Park to pursue a bachelor’s degree or for one-semester or year-long exchange programs. We also accept international transfer students, or adult international students seeking to complete a bachelor’s degree.

Bachelor’s Degree Completion for Registered Nurses

Registered nurses who have completed an associate’s degree in nursing at a U.S. college, hold a current Illinois RN license, and have an F1 Visa may be eligible to complete their bachelor of science with a major in nursing at North Park . Learn more about the program and admission requirements.

Graduate Business and Nonprofit Programs

North Park University’s School of Business and Nonprofit Management welcomes international students to its graduate degree and certificate programs. Learn more about program options and admission requirements for international students.

Graduate Education Degrees

International students are welcome to complete master’s degrees in education. (Although you are not eligible to earn certification/licensure to teach in the state of Illinois.)

Graduate Music Degree

The School of Music offers a master of music in vocal performance degree for musicians who desire to extend the training in classical voice technique, performance, and pedagogy. International students are welcome. Review the program, audition and application requirements.

Graduate Nursing Programs

Due to state licensing requirements and federal restrictions that prevent international students (F1 Visa-holders) from working at clinical sites, the School of Nursing is not able to accept applications from international students to graduate and postgraduate programs.

North Park Theological Seminary
