Graduation and Diplomas

Graduation is an exciting milestone, but getting there requires planning and attention to deadlines. Whether you’re an undergraduate, graduate, or seminary student at North Park University, this guide will walk you through the steps to successfully apply for graduation, understand degree audits, prepare for Commencement, and receive your diploma.

When to apply for graduation

We recommend applying for graduation well in advance:

  • Undergraduate Students: Apply one year before your expected graduation term.
  • Graduate/Seminary Students: Apply two semesters before your expected graduation term.

Application deadlines and reminders will be sent to your North Park email.

Commencement participation

Commencement is held twice a year, in December and May. All students are expected to attend.

  • Rehearsal takes place the Wednesday before the ceremony.
  • Watch your North Park email for details about tickets, caps and gowns, dates, and logistics.

Graduation fee

All graduating students are charged a $150 non-refundable graduation application fee, regardless of ceremony participation. If your plans change, contact the Registrar immediately.
