Registering for Classes and Academic Policies
New student registration
- Traditional Undergraduate Students: First-semester registration details are available in the Admitted Students section. You’ll also receive instructions by email and mail.
- Graduate and Degree-Completion Students: Your admissions counselor will provide your initial enrollment information.
Returning student registration
All students should be registering or dropping courses through Student Planning in Self Service. Undergraduate students are required to meet with their advisor prior to registration. Students should verify that their account is in good standing to prevent any issues with registration.
Students will create their academic plans by searching for current course offerings in Student Planning in Self-Service. Before registering for your next semester of classes, you should be in contact with your faculty advisor to plan your schedule based on course offerings.
How to register
Register via add/drop form-
If you are receiving an error that will not allow you to register for certain courses on Self-Service, please read the error message carefully for instructions on how to correct it. If you think this error is not correct, feel free to email registrar@northpark.edu
- Students are not allowed to fully drop their entire schedule online. You will need to complete an Add/Drop Form to drop your final course.
Add/drop policies
- A full list of deadlines can be found online. Read more about our add/drop policies.
- Adding/dropping courses can be done at any time before the end of the first week of class at no charge.
- LATE FEE – Student Accounts charges a $15 charge for any class added after the first week of the term.
Open Registration Dates
Students are advised to:
- Consult their Student Plan and their advisor with questions regarding their degree completion and courses.
- Ensure there are no billing holds on your account. Check with Student Accounts via studentaccounts@northpark.edu to be sure their account is in good standing and to avoid delays in registering for the course sections they want.
