Profile

Dee Fraccaro-Murphy comes to North Park University after a long and successful career as an elementary school music specialist in Chicago. She believes strongly that all students deserve the opportunity to make music in an inclusive, safe, and respectful classroom. Fraccaro-Murphy offers this to all her students, including the adult choir members she leads at St. John’s Episcopal Church.

She believes that the ever-changing landscape of music in our schools requires a great deal from teachers. They must be able to defend their position, address the demands of administrators and parents, accommodate diverse learners with differentiated instruction, and remain true to their passion.
