Profile
Ellen Kogstad-Thompson is the founder and director emeritus of New Moms Inc., an urban ministry serving homeless teen mothers and their children in Chicago. Since 2008, Kogstad-Thompson has served as New Moms, Inc’s director of spiritual formation while also teaching at North Park Theological Seminary.
Kogstad-Thompson was also a member of the team that established the C. John Weborg Center for Spiritual Direction. She now serves as the director of the center and teaches many of the spiritual formation classes for all Seminary students.
In private practice, Kogstad-Thompson offers Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, teaches Enneagram, provides spiritual direction, and gives presentations on prayer and spiritual formation.
