Profile
Dr. Eugenia Jeong cultivates her students’ listening skills, curiosity, and openness to musical exploration. Previously, she served as the director of piano studies at the University of Chicago for five academic years.
As a pianist, Jeong has performed at venues such as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall, Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, the Chicago Cultural Center, Benaroya Hall, the Banff Centre, and The Kennedy Center’s Millennium Stage, as well as in India, Israel, Italy, and South Korea. She is a recipient of top prizes in numerous regional and national competitions and has been featured in live broadcasts on classical radio stations, including WFMT and Classical KING-FM. Previously, she served as the director of piano studies at the University of Chicago for 5 academic years.
Jeong earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance with departmental honors from Northwestern University.
