Sophia Magallanes-Tsang, Assistant Professor of Old Testament, describes herself as a relational educator who uses multiple methods of teaching with a passion for equipping God’s people for life and ministry.
“I hope that students would know God’s love for them and how to value and affirm God’s image in every person,” she said.
Dr.Magallanes-Tang received her PhD in Divinity from University of Edinburgh and a Master’s of Arts in Theology: Biblical Studies from Fuller Theological Seminary. She also earned her undergraduate degree and a master’s degree from Azusa Pacific University.
At North Park, she looks forward to having students engage with each other’s different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives, and to exploring the richly diverse neighborhoods in Chicago.
