Business at North Park

Our business program is renowned for blending faith and ethics into advanced business studies. This broad discipline covers economics, accounting, finance, marketing, leadership, and ethics, preparing you for careers in the public, private, or government sectors or further specialization through advanced education.

Degree options

Bachelor of arts (BA) students gain a strong business foundation for diverse careers, while bachelor of science (BS) students, with a required 150-hour internship and area of concentration, focus on specialized disciplines through targeted coursework and internships.

BA and BS students can also pursue an actuarial science certificate alongside their major to set themselves up for success in the field.

BS concentrations

Accounting: Master the language of business and gain the expertise to navigate financial regulations, opening pathways to careers in public, private, and nonprofit sectors.

Finance: Learn to evaluate financial decisions and maximize value, preparing for fast-paced careers in corporate, nonprofit, or government finance.

Management: Gain the skills to lead teams and improve operations, readying you for leadership roles or the challenge of running your own business.

Marketing: Develop insight into consumer behavior and strategy to drive product promotion and thrive in diverse industries.

Sport Management: Combine business skills with industry knowledge to pursue exciting opportunities in athletics, recreation, media, and sport-focused organizations.

PHIL 2530 – Business and Professional Ethics
An introduction to the theory and practice of public speaking. Topics include types of speeches, types and uses of source material, organization, performance, and speech criticism.
