Account and Email
Account management and email
Students, faculty, and staff receive a North Park University email and Office 365 account, which provide access to Microsoft O365 tools for document management, storage, and collaboration. Your university email is also the primary way to receive official campus news, updates, and communication—check it regularly.
Your North Park account
Your account grants access to Outlook email, Canvas, Self-Service, the Helpdesk, and other campus services. For details on account features and security, visit the Information Technology Wiki.
Security tips:
- Never share your password.
- North Park IT will never ask for your password.
- Enable Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for added protection.
Account activation
Activate your account using Microsoft’s Self-Service Password Reset tool. You’ll need your university email and secondary authentication methods. Need help? Contact IT Support in Caroline Hall (lower level) at IT@northpark.edu or (773) 244-5540.
Password reset
If you no longer remember your password, use Microsoft’s self-service Self-Service Password Reset. You will need to have access to your secondary authentication factors.
Password change
If you know your password but want to change it, log into myprofile.microsoft.com and choose the Change Password option.
Check your email
You should check your university email regularly to stay on top of important academic and campus life information. All official North Park correspondence will be sent to your university email account. The North Park University Wiki has instructions on syncing your devices with your email as well as email-forwarding rules. There is also information on a variety of Microsoft O365 tools available to students on the Wiki.
