Your SEVIS ID (starting with “N”) is printed on your I-20 or DS-2019. Print a copy of your online receipt for your visa interview and travel.

Apply for an F-1 or J-1 visa button

To schedule your visa interview, first complete the DS-160 application.

Prepare the following for your interview:

North Park issues fall semester bills around July 1 and spring semester bills in early December. Students must pay in full or set up an approved payment plan with Financial Aid by the deadline.

Registration for the second semester is blocked until the first semester bill is settled. Payments can be made online through Self-Service using your North Park network account.

After paying your tuition deposit, you’ll receive an immunization form to complete and return. Deadlines are July 15 (fall) and December 15 (spring). Student-athletes must also submit a pre-participation packet.

If your immunizations are not up to date, you must get the required vaccinations upon arrival, which can be costly without insurance.

Required vaccines:

  • Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis)
  • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella)
    COVID-19
  • Meningococcal Conjugate (Required if 22 or younger)

North Park students and employees can get a photo ID at the Campus Safety Office (Building #8 on the campus map). A valid photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, school ID, or passport) is required for pickup.

ID cards are for Chicago campus students and employees. If your program is off-campus, check with your program director or supervisor regarding ID requirements.

Before each fall semester, students complete two online safety programs: AlcoholEdu for College and Haven—Understanding Sexual Assault. Details are sent in spring and summer.

All North Park students are responsible for knowing and following the standards in the Student Handbook and University Catalog.
