Karlton Gilton serves as the primary academic advisor for School of Education students. He will work alongside you to uniquely tailor an academic plan that fits your career goals and meets your needs.
Viveca PoinsetteLicensure Officer of Higher Education
As our licensure officer of higher education, Viveca Poinsette will work with you to ensure that you have fulfilled Illinois State Board of Education requirements for teacher candidates, allowing you to become certified/licensed when you complete your teacher preparation program.
Steve SchachererCoordinator of Clinical Experiences and School Partnerships
Steve coordinates the process for all pre-student teaching and student teaching placements. He’ll work with you to make sure you’re prepared and are matched with partner schools and districts where you’ll have great field experiences. Steve also maintains collaborative relationships between North Park and our partner schools in Chicago and surrounding communities.
