Stephen RayAssistant Professor of Physics and Engineering, Director of Sustainability
Dr. Stephen Ray is an engineer and educator working towards improving the environment and STEM education. He joined the North Park faculty in 2014, teaching physics and engineering as well as serving as the director of sustainability. Dr. Ray earned his bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and has worked on sustainable design projects around the world. His research currently includes examining how microscopic particles in the air can be reduced, as well as how city-wide carbon emissions impact life expectancy.
