Dining on Campus
Food service at North Park University is operated by ARAMARK, with facilities that include a full-service dining hall, a convenient grab-and-go in Viking Café, and an Einstein Bros Bagels in the Johnson Center's Bickner Bistro. All locations accept cash, credit, or Flex Dollars.
Located on the second floor of Magnuson Campus Center, the dining hall was renovated in 2013 and is a bright, open space with plenty of seating for individuals and groups.
The campus dining hall is a favorite space for students to work together on class projects, catch up with friends from other residences, or just hang out.
Unique abstract art in the dining hall features maps and landscapes from Chicago.
Our campus dining hall does features a hot food line (staffed by friendly servers, of course!), and also offers a salad bar, a made-to-order station, a grill, various sandwich options, a constant cereal bar, and more. There are multiple choices at every meal for vegetarians and other limited-diet individuals.
Serving a range of bagels, sandwiches, snacks, and beverages, Einstein Bros Bagels on the first floor of the Johnson Center is perfect to grab some energy before class or meet with friends for a study session.
The full Bickner Bistro space has comfortable seating for any size of group, from tables to booths to couches to counters.
Cozy up to a modern fireplace feature with a cup of coffee or textbook during the winter months in the Bickner Bistro.
Stop in at the shop in Viking Café, across the hall from the gymnasium, for a quick cup of coffee, smoothie, pre-made sandwich, or other snack on your way to class.
Located on the first floor of Carlson Tower, by the gymnasium, Viking Café is convenient to classrooms and commuter-student parking lots.
Bickner Bistro and Einstein Bros Bagels
Located on the first floor of the Johnson Center for Science and Community Life, the Bickner Bistro is the newest addition to our campus dining facilities. It includes a wide range of seating and table options, including comfortable couches near fireplaces and televisions. Students use Bickner Bistro to study, collaborate with faculty and staff on projects, and to hang out between classes.
The Bistro space includes an Einstein Bros Bagels counter; its menu includes brewed gourmet coffee, specialty coffee drinks, smoothies, baked goods, salads, hearty soups, made-to-order sandwiches, and dessert.

Providing breakfast, lunch, and dinner for students, faculty, staff, and guests, the main campus dining hall is located at the south end of our main University campus. It is on the second floor of Magnuson Campus Center, near the Burgh and Anderson residence halls.
Food service includes options to please all diners, including offerings for vegetarians and other special dietary needs. Contact our food service manager at (773) 244-4939 for more information.
The dining hall at North Park is more than just a place to eat—it's where students catch up with their friends, meet new people, and participate in a number of campus traditions, including a yearly Thanksgiving meal served by faculty and staff.
Viking Café is an á la carte retail food shop with plenty of tables and comfortable seating, large-screen televisions, and a wide selection of sandwiches, salads, snacks, and beverages.
