Dr. Mary Cleary is a visiting associate professor in the School of Education. Cleary values the success of her students as future educators of America. Her hope is that students “leave my classroom confident in their abilities to teach and share their gifts with the future generation.”
Cleary’s classrooms balance theory and practical teaching elements. She believes in North Park’s Student Teaching and Mini Teaching experiences which place education students into Chicago schools for semesters at a time to become accustomed to teaching and working within a community. “We appreciate differences among humans and work to lift everyone up and help them to become the best that they can be,” says Cleary.
