Terrance J. Smith has a passion for music that cannot be bridled. He began cultivating his love for music from the age of three and quickly embraced his gift of direction at the age of nine. Smith was part of the renowned Walt Whitman & The Soul Children of Chicago choir, where he shared the stage with famed artists such as Yolanda Adams, Mavis Staples, and Jennifer Hudson. In efforts to reach the nations, he has traveled to Africa to teach music and spread the Gospel.
Smith serves as Minister of Music at the Oakdale Covenant Church, Chicago, and program and musical director for the Oakdale Christian Academy and Child Care Center. He prides himself in operating in the spirit of excellence while remaining faithful to God. Smith is committed to using his ordained gifts to reach the masses and strives to make a difference in his community and in the world.
Smith received a BA in Music/Conducting from North Park University a Master of Arts in Christian Formation from North Park Theological Seminary.
