Parent PLUS Loan Change Form
This form should only be used if you, the parent of a currently enrolled North Park student, have already been approved for a Federal PLUS Loan and need to make changes to the existing loan. If you have not borrowed a PLUS Loan for this academic year, then you need to complete the PLUS Loan Application and sign the PLUS Loan Master Promissory Note using your own FSA ID and demographic information online at studentaid.gov instead of filling out this form.
When making changes to your loan amount, please keep the following in mind:
- Maximum loan amount is the cost of attendance minus any other financial aid given to the student. We encourage you to consider what you will need to borrow for the entire academic year at this time. The loan amount will be equally divided between the fall and spring semesters.
- Loans disbursed after July 1, 2022, will have an origination fee of 4.228% which impacts how much funding actually posts to your student’s account. For example, if you are borrowing $8,000, then only $7,662 will post to your student’s account, though you will repay the full $8,000. Please consider this when determining how much you need to borrow.
