Planning Your Arrival to Campus

Welcome to North Park!

We would like to welcome you and your family to campus and our orientation programs. Below you will find information about your arrival to campus, some of which is specific to particular cohorts and athletic teams. Additionally, all new students will participate in Threshold: New Student Orientation. Threshold is a long-standing North Park tradition designed to help you have a successful first year.

Traditional Undergraduate Students

Threshold is much more than just a weekend—it’s your whole experience of making the transition to North Park. We’re here to answer your questions and help you in any way we can. Use these pages to explore everything you’ll need to know so you can dive right in when you arrive as a new student.

Commuter Students

North Park’s commuter students are an integral part of our campus community. Use the time during Threshold: New Student Orientation to get to know your future classmates, the campus, and get ready for a great year at North Park.

Coaches will communicate further information about your arrival to campus pertaining to your respective sport. Your official check-in with the University will be in the Johnson Center at the indicated time using the link below.

Athletes Arrival Schedule

COMPASS Students

COMPASS is an intensive nine-day program that precedes first-year student orientation and helps first-year students prepare for the academic and social challenges of college while adjusting to life on campus.

Arrive: Wednesday, August 14th

Music Students

Students who have auditioned and been accepted into the School of Music, Art, and Theatre are required to take placements in music theory/aural skills and keyboard skills prior to registering for music courses.
