Daniel Walsh

Interim Dean SOE / Associate Professor of Education

With more than 25 years of teaching and administrative experience in education, Daniel Walsh specializes in educational leadership and special education. He appreciates that the School of Education focuses on the whole student, supporting the academic, social, emotional, and spiritual growth. Walsh is passionate about supporting students as they develop their skills.

While engaging students in collaborative, hands-on learning, Walsh also encourages them to take advantage of North Park’s urban setting. “Involvement in our neighborhood and the greater Chicagoland area is critical to instilling values within our students, promoting citizenship, and investing in the future of the city and many suburban communities we serve.”

A leader in both the classroom and the campus community, Walsh emulates North Park’s Christian values and strives to model a life of significance and service. “I share my experiences and my faith journey with students, as appropriate, to assure them that we are not alone as leaders in education. Our core values make us strong. We need to embrace our values and our faith to endure the daily challenges of being an educator and a leader.”
