Online Options for the School of Adult Learning
The School of Adult Learning (SAL) offers a significant number of online options for busy adult students requiring flexible options in their studies. Through NPU Online, classes are offered in a variety of major, minor, general education, and elective areas.
SAL online courses deliver the same high-quality content, taught by experienced faculty, and at the same tuition rate as our campus-based courses.

The School of Adult Learning at North Park University is committed to implement the Quality Matters standards for the design of online and hybrid courses, and we are systematically building and evaluating our courses based on these rigorous, research-based standards. The Quality Matters standards assure that the online components of these courses promote learner engagement and provide students with all the tools and information they need to be successful learners. Online courses are offered via the Moodle course system and are designed to fit into your schedule.
- Most online courses are "asynchronous" — you aren't tied to a particular class time, allowing you to work whenever it's convenient for you.
- Some courses may also include opportunities for real-time, "synchronous" interaction with faculty and classmates.
If you are eager to pursue online course options, it may be possible to complete up to 50 percent of your coursework toward any degree online, depending on your major and transfer credit. Students may complete bachelor's degrees with the following majors entirely online:
